Permanent hair removal
Hair removal is performed using either IPL laser technology, or the more traditional electrolysis method. Both male and female clients are welcome.
Intense Pulse Light Laser Using IPL, unwanted hair can be gently, precisely and effectively reduced, or permanently removed, putting an end to hair removal regimes.Suitable for all areas of the body. Energist uses state of the art Variable Pulse Light technology. The light is absorbed by the melanin (the pigment in the hair) causing the cells which stimulate the hair growth to be heated and destroyed. Most areas will require between 4 to 6 treatments; however, this is dependant on hair and skin type/colour and hair growth cycle. After a full free consultation to assess your skin type, a JAS Hair Removal therapist will conduct a test patch. The area to be treated is prepared and a form of ultrasound jelly is applied. The IPL applicator head is stepped across the skin, an intense flash of light is applied to each section of the treatment area, which feels like a tiny sting and has a warming feeling. Immediately after the treatment your skin may appear a little more pink than usual, but this will fade quickly. The hairs treated will fall out naturally over a period of one to three weeks, leaving your skin feeling and looking silky smooth. It is dependant on each individual’s hair growth cycle as to when the next treatment will be needed; however, it is advisable to leave at least 4 weeks between treatments. Electrolysis Electrolysis works by passing a small amount of energy into the hair follicle through a very fine needle. This produces heat which destroys the cells that produce the hair at the base of the follicle. Suitable for smaller body areas |
